Goni grounds her painting practice in drawing, translating fleeting sensory moments from daily life into a distinct visual language. For her, drawing is not a preparatory stage but a medium of condensation, where observation and experience form the structural core of painting. Subtle phenomena—such as the flow of wind, bodily rhythms, or uncertain affective images—are archived in her drawing books and reconfigured as color and form across canvas and varied supports. In this process, forms remain fragmented and fluid rather than fixed, inviting the viewer to sense the inner resonance and emotional depth carried by seemingly minor perceptions. Thus, Goni’s work extends the act of recording personal experience into a pictorial structure, demonstrating how painting can still operate as a site for probing existence and sensation.
