Isaac Moon

Based in South Korea

Moon Isaac (b. 1986) explores the deconstruction and reassembly of images through sculptural experiments with intangible or visually ambiguous subjects, such as flowing water or forgotten people. His work exists both as an image and, at times, as plastic or raw earth itself. For Moon, sculpting is an act of experimentation—one that navigates accumulation and plasticity while negotiating impulses toward past images, objects, the virtual, and the material. His sculptural language emerges from the tension between the desire to shape clay into solid forms and the simultaneous urge to dismantle them.
