Jung Soyun creates works describing the shapes of nature and the human body, using flexible mono-filament yarns that has infinite potential. She projects her attitude of life onto her work in the fashion that she accepts the physical properties of mono-filament yarns and controls her mind by touching the mono-filament textile. After suffering from the death of her family member and unexpected hardships, she has brooded over human life. Now she acknowledges that after all, we are a part of the huge nature, and tries to look at life from a positive perspective. Her work discloses her inner side metaphorically and honestly, arousing viewers’ sympathy through the soft texture of mono-filament onto which she projects her mind. Jung, who has been once again deeply moved by giving birth to a baby recently, represents the wonder and energy of life in her own drawing technique.
