Baekjin

After graduating from high school, he studied in France and majored in painting at 1981-1986 Diplôme Ecole Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts, paris He is also a talented person who studied at the '올리비에 드 브레(Olivier Debré, 1920-1999)' atelier, a French master. His move to Olivier's Atelier had a profound impact on his work entering full-scale abstraction. (Olivier mainly presents large-scale works of drawing abstract paintings while looking at the outdoor scenery. It is to draw abstract paintings with the feeling of the mind, not the visible scenery as it is.) He was deeply impressed by the strong color and the size of the large canvas used by his teacher at the time, and even though he was a student at the time, the fact that a Paris-based gallerist came and chose his work was an event that proved his skills and talents. He is participate in more than 10 individual and dozens of group exhibitions in Italy and the United States as well as France and Korea, and now he is working between Korea and France after returning home from his 30 years in France. His work, which has been famous for using colors well since his days in Paris, catches the eye at once with the deep colors of pastel tones that are filled with purity. The artist's speciality in creating these works is undoubtedly well illustrated in the "Milky way" series, which captures the immeasurable human beings in the universe, life in it, on canvas with the artist's own infinite sensibility. It does not simply show the abstraction of colors and faces, but expresses the artist's philosophical ideas in simple and intense colors and faces.
