Henning Strassburger

Henning Strassburger, born in Meißen, Germany, in 1983, is an artist based in Berlin. He studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin and later at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Since then, he has been presenting his work in leading museums and galleries across Berlin, London, New York, Stockholm, and other key international art hubs. Henning Strassburger is an artist who investigates the relationship between contemporary paintings and the superabundant images in an image-saturated digital culture. Developing his abstract work in his own language by appropriating and reproducing the images from his surroundings, he explores the role and possibilities of contemporary painting.
